CONCEPT OF EVALUATION
Evaluation is a continuous process of inquiry concerned with the study, appraisal and improvement of all aspects of the education process. it is a decision- making process the leads to suggestions for action improve participants' effectiveness and programme efficiency.
The term 'evaluation' is derived from the word 'valoir' which means ' to be worth'. Hense, evaluation is the process of judging the value or worth of or individual's achievement or characteristic.
Definition of Evaluation :-
Patton (1987),'' Evaluation is a process that critically examines a programme.its purpose is to make judgement about a programme to improve its effectiveness and or to inform programming decisions.
RALPH TAYLOR,'' Evaluation is the process of determining to what extent the educational objectives are being realised.''
