TEACHING OF COMMERCE [Pedagogy of School Subject (Part I)] (Paper–IV & V)–(xi) (Semester–I)

Attempt one question each from Section A & B carrying 10 marks each and the entire Section C consisting of 5 short answer type questions carrying 3 marks each.

SECTION—A

1. ‘Business Studies and Accountancy in the Commerce curriculum fails to achieve the expected and predetermined aims and objectives.’ What efforts should be made to make it more effective? Explain with the help of suggestions.

II. ‘Commerce today covers a vast field and comprises many branches.’ Explain fully.

SECTION—B

III. ‘Today is the age of technological advancement. In this concern, how MS-Excel, MS-Word and Database management serves as instructional material for providing Commerce education?’ Explain fully.

IV. Explain the role and organization of these co-curricular activities for providing Commerce education :

(a) Commerce Clubs. (b) Debate.

SECTION—C (Compulsory Question)

V. Write brief answers :

1. ‘Commerce is both an academic discipline and a vocational subject.’ Describe briefly.

2. ‘Teaching is not like other Profession. As a teacher, you will wear many hats.’ Explain briefly.

3. Define any five principles of Commerce curriculum.

4. ‘Selection and integration in teaching learning process plays the important part in Commerce Education.’ Explain briefly.

5. Role of evaluation in Commerce Education.
